Tactile Language: Accessibility and Texture in Artistic Practice

Project

This project explores how tactile and sensory perception can function as a core artistic method rather than an adaptation of visual work. It builds on my long-term engagement with texture and materiality and marks a shift from intuitive use towards a conscious exploration of accessibility as an artistic method.

The project is informed by the concept of synaesthesia, where different sensory modes overlap and inform one another. I am interested in how texture can communicate beyond the visual, and how touch, memory and sensory association can shape meaning and experience within artistic practice.
